Forest Machine Operations
The City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 Award in Forest Machine Operations (Base Machine) is aimed at those working in the forestry industry who need to prepare, drive and manouevre forest machinery.
Base Machine Catergories can be conducted as either training with an ITA (Integrated Assessment) or as a stand alone NPTC Assessment (no training). Operational Categories are Assessment only.

Tracked Base Unit (i.e 360 excavator)
•Endorsement 001: Under 2.5 tonne Tracked
•Endorsement 002: Over 2.5 tonne Tracked
Wheeled Articulated Unit (i.e Valmet Forwarder)
•Endorsement 003: Under 2.5 tonne Wheeled Articulated
•Endorsement 004: Over 2.5 tonne Wheeled Articulated
Wheeled Rigid (i.e Farm Tractor)
•Endorsement 005: Under 2.5 tonne Wheeled Rigid
